Phew! Our 2nd Annual Birthday Bash was just a few weeks ago, and we have LOTS of gracious sponsors to thank below for helping us put it all on. But first, we have a few very special thank yous that we must start with… Like our amazing team of volunteers {yes, that’s right, we’re just a group of moms working to bring families of Houston together!} who showed up, worked hard, and helped an event of this size run as smoothly as it could. And to you — ALL OF YOU — who came and brought your families to this event. We host these type of events with you all in mind, and this was our largest event to date with the most sponsors ever and the most attendees ever. Thank you for learning and growing with us. We appreciate you, and we couldn’t think of anyone we’d rather celebrate with than YOU!
Also, a BIG shout out to Amanda from Momma’s Gonna Snap, just as she always does, she was there to help us document the whole celebration through her lens. We can’t say enough about her, her work, and her support of Houston Moms Blog. We owe her the world with all of the pictures she has taken of us and our events. And we’ve also recently fallen in love with Michelle from This Moment Photography too! Were soooo excited that she wanted to spend her Sunday afternoon documenting our celebration. Michelle has an amazing eye for capturing life’s everyday moments and turning them into wonderful photos and keepsake videos {YES, she’s a videographer!}. Our friends at The Zone graciously hosted all 400+ people in their ginormous facility. They let us transform their gym into booths filled with games, activities, foods, prizes, and fun for our kiddos, and their inflatable room located on the second floor provided tons of fun and bouncing for all. Each year, this is one of our most favorite events here at Houston Moms Blog because, unlike our mom’s night outs, we can celebrate with our families and the little ones who make us moms – our children!
NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care served as our title sponsor for this event, and it was clear that they wanted each and every child to enjoy themselves while at their booth. Their area featured Whimsy the clown from HaHa Entertainment, and we loved that she helped welcome attendees as they walked in. She was a BIG hit with many kiddos, and we adored NightLight’s cute little photo booth, complete with red carpet, for all of us moms to snap a picture or two of our kiddos with her. So thankful to have our friends at NightLight Pediatric — not only because they help us throw great events, but because they serve us as well as the greater Houston area by providing comprehensive and thorough care for the children of Houston year round!
We owe our friends at Crowning Details a big thank you too for making this massive gym look great with their eye for decor and the details of throwing the perfect party. The larger than life clown balloons and fun welcome area were definitely one of our most favorite parts of the event. Thank you BalloonScape for working your magic. You guys are absolutely fantastic, and we can’t recommend them enough for your next birthday party or celebration as well!
Reginelli’s was back again for the second year in a row and served up their delicious pizzas. Families also got to taste No Time 2 Cook’s southern-style recipes. They came all the way from Mississippi to join us here in Houston, ya’ll. Thank you for welcoming them to Texas! Their ready-to-eat meals are available here in Houston-area Krogers, and they are the perfect solution for busy families. They’re quick, easy, and delicious. From pizzas and No Time 2 Cook’s southern food, attendees then got to choose between a number of sweet treats…
Nothing Bundt Cakes brought their yummy bundtinis. Everyone needs their red velvet bundt cakes in your lives — it’s delicious! And their large bundt cakes make the perfect birthday cakes too. Snap Kitchen served up tasty sweet treats. We can’t even begin to count the number of attendees we overheard talking about their amazing brownies and macaroons, and the wholesome ingredient list makes for happy mamas also. And our friends at Whole Foods brought some refreshments, a build-your-own trail mix station, and a veggie toss for the kiddos which was an absolute hit!
Our friends at SafeSplash set up the most adorable booth for this event, and they were successful in attracting so many toddlers and kiddos to their duck pond! The kiddos walked away with surprises thanks to SafeSplash, and a couple of guests also walked away with some very generous giveaways from them. We absolutely loved their enthusiasm to meet and work with Houston area families, and we highly recommend checking out their swim academy to help prepare your kiddos for next summer’s swim season!
Our kids had a blast at BLVD Dentistry‘s table with temporary hair coloring, and Gymboree brought their famous and super-fun parachute for the children with hours of bubble fun to boot. The Little Crane Smocked Shoppe got us in the holiday spirit a little early and served up milk and cookies all while taking orders for the most adorable holiday pajamas that have ever existed. We love the ladies of The Little Crane for helping us have the most well dressed kiddos — not just on Christmas morning, but all year long.
Next to The Little Crane was the Houston Symphony with their instrument petting zoo! This was definitely one of the most well-loved booths of the event. The instruments sucked kids in and kept them entertained for quite some time, and perfect timing as their Family Series is kicking off very, very soon. TutorVille had it all going on at their table — temporary tattoos, slap bracelets, face painting, and balloon artists. Such a fun booth. Not only did we love what they offered for the attendees at our birthday bash, but we LOVE what they’re doing to help the children and teens of Houston learn, explore, discover, and succeed! Another local business we strongly recommend checking out for your kiddos too.
Fusion Academy is another one of our amazing sponsors, and we love what they are creating here in Houston for teens who need something other than traditional schooling. So thankful they were a part of this celebration! Happy Family provided some sampling of their products and created a fun little bowling game for the kiddos. We love working with them, and even more than that, we love that their organic products help our kiddos eat, grow, and shine! And KinderCare Learning Center? They provided a fantastic sensory bin style activity at their booth that was a happening spot all day long. For those of you who left wanting more, be sure to visit their open house this month and tell them we sent you!
It’s no secret that we love Lakeshore. What’s not to love about a toy store — especially one that is educational! They brought some of their top products and toys for the children to check out. There is no doubt that some of these are now topping birthday and Christmas wish lists all over Houston now! And finally the folks from Fundamentally Music were awesome! From the millions of bubbles they greeted the kiddos with to all their music-inspired fun — we loved seeing all the big smiles surrounding their booth.
As with all our events, giveaway tickets were included for all event attendees. VIPs received more giveaway tickets as did those attendees who brought in-kind donations for our charity of choice {more on that below!}, and many families walked away as winners with some outstanding prizes. As with all of our major events, we were so very honored to feature and raise awareness for a special local charity at our 2nd Annual Birthday Bash! We worked hand in hand with ESCAPE Family Resource Center this year. Their mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing education, intervention, and support programs to families in crisis throughout the greater Houston area. ESCAPE provided a fun-filled table with crafts for the kids at the event while providing very valuable information for the parents in attendance. They walked away with all of your generous donations and key items off their current wish list. We always love how generous our followers and attendees are, and this event was no different. Thank you for helping HMB support ESCAPE!
