5 Fall Beauty Trends for the Fashionable Mom

Even though it’s still 90 degrees here in Houston, we are all so ready for fall! Am I right? Well, as fall as Houston can be, anyway. We’ve swapped our neons for jewel tones and we can’t wait to pull out our boots and scarves. How about our beauty routine? As moms, we are always wanting to feel fabulous without spending tons of time. I have scoured the fashion magazines and online editorials to bring you the latest, most wearable trends for fall for you. Less time on our routine, and less time researching trends? Win, win!

5 fall beauty trends for the fashionable mom 1. BOLD LIPS

Thought you had to put away those hot pink and orange lip products now that it’s pretty much October? Think again! Bright and bold lips are totally on trend. You can go fun and flirty with a hot pink like MAC Candy Yum Yum {my current favorite lipstick!} or a classic red. Deep burgundys are also on trend, but the thought is you don’t even have to go out and buy any new ‘fall’ colors.

2. WINGED LINER

The classic cat eye looks are perfect for fall and great for a date night, too. It’s a perfect way to dress up an otherwise simple and minimalistic look. In fact, it’s always best to do winged liner without much else competing with it. Since sometimes winged liner can be tricky, try a liquid liner pen to have more control. I love the L’Oreal Infallible Super Slim Liquid Liner for this. It’s easy to apply and stays put! Because really, who has time to reapply liquid liner? No mom, that’s who!

3. BRONZE EYESHADOW

I love bronze, shimmery eyeshadow any time of the year {especially since it complements my blue eyes}, but it’s especially flattering for fall. If you plan on wearing a lot of deep purples, it will look amazing. And what’s easy and mom-friendly about this is no need to spend time pairing it with a highlight and crease color. Just swipe that bronze shadow all over! I am obsessed with Urban Decay’s Smog {that can also be found in the Naked Palette}.

4. NAVY NAILS

Navy is a perfect fall color, and it just looks so luxe on nails. It’s also much easier for fair-skinned women like myself to pull off a dark nail when using a shade like navy {black is too harsh}. Navy nails are so chic in the fall! Pair it with orange, mustard, and khaki. Love it, and love Butter London’s Royal Navy.

5. DEFINED BROWS

I am a huge fan of a defined brow, and I am a firm believer that the simple task of filling in your brows is something that every woman needs in their beauty routine. Full {and even somewhat unruly} brows are a huge trend for fall, and it’s simple to do. I highly recommend using the ELF Brow Kit with an angled brush.

There you have it! Simple, easy trends that any mom can most definitely incorporate into their beauty routine. Let me know in the comments if you have been rocking any of these trends!

  1. Love this Meg! Lots of great products I want to try. Especially that eyeshadow. I need to step out of my comfort zone and try that navy nail color too. Really I just need you to come over and do my makeup for me!
