A ll About Me ::
I’m a 30 something mom who is supposed to be planning her wedding for next year. But I have recently learned that I have little interest in wedding planning. I love music, movies, food, reading, taking pictures, Starbucks, Target, and social networking. My days are spent working to pay for all of those habits. My evenings are spent watching Disney Junior and having dance parties with a toddler. My nights are spent in front of a screen messing with my blog, Bre Writes, or reading on my Kindle. The weekends are now spent watching football. My favorite question that really lets you know about a person is, “What’s your favorite movie?” So you can judge me properly, I will say without fail – mine is Fight Club.
B est Thing About Houston ::
FOOD! Without a doubt, the best thing about the great city of Houston is the food…with the highlight being brunch. I’m drooling just typing about it. My absolute favorite spot for brunch is Benjy’s. Either location. I love spending a lazy Saturday morning sitting and eating those muffins and getting an omelet with potatoes or grits. And of course, mimosas are always an option too.
I’ve also grown to be quite fond of our budding food truck scene in Houston. I never knew I would love a cheesesteak with kimchi sauce until I tasted Koagie Hots. Now, I prefer my waffle folded over and stuffed with Nutella because of The Waffle Bus. And I mean, Bernie’s Burger Bus. COME ON!
And don’t even get me started on the BBQ and Tex-Mex.
C hild of Mine ::
Addison. 2 going on 13. She’s hilarious, talkative, and highly opinionated. She will not leave the house without a toy and an accessory. She is more than over my photography enthusiasm, so lately I can barely get her to look at me let alone say cheese. That doesn’t stop me from trying. Everything she eats is “chicken”…which means sometimes Daddy and I have to invent new foods, like “pork chop chicken.” She loves painting, dancing, and fighting sleep. With so much personality and the cuteness of girl clothes offered by The Gap, odds are – she will be a singleton.
