March has somehow come and gone, and it is officially time to start thinking about all things Easter. Spring time is such an exciting time to enjoy all our city has to offer before the inevitable rise in temperatures. Aside from the main event of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, there are so many fun and easy activities around town! So get your shopping lists ready to prepare for all things dyed eggs and bunny-themed treats. Get your kiddos ready for backyard Easter egg hunts by checking out Houston’s local egg hunts. TGR Exotic Wildlife Park {Spring} | Saturday, April 15th, 11am 
Take part in the egg hunt {reservations required} and animal meet and greet, bring a picnic lunch, enjoy crafts/activities, and walk around to see animals. 

Bunny Trunk Hop

Cypress Creek Christian Church {Spring} | Friday, April 14th, 10am – 12pm
Come for the petting zoo, face painting, crafts, bouncers, snacks, and more. Hop around to decorated cars to receive Easter treats. This event is geared to kids from 3-10, and while admission is free – a ticket is required.

Note: Egg hunts starts at 11am.
Hunt for over 15,000 toy or candy filled eggs, and enjoy bunny bingo, a sidewalk chalk contest, carrot pull, petting zoo, pony rides, and rubber ducky races.

Pasadena’s Easter Eggstravaganza

PAL Gymnasium {Pasadena} | Saturday, April 8th, 8 – 11am
Large scale egg hunting and breakfast with the Easter bunnies. Don’t forget your basket and $1 admission or a non-perishable canned good.

Clear Lake Methodist Church {Clear Lake} | Saturday, April 15th, 10am – 12pm
Have fun with the egg hunt, visit with the Easter Bunny, moonwalks, petting zoo, games, and food.

Easter in the Gardens

Moody Gardens {Galveston} | Sunday, April 16th, 11am – 3pm
Children 9-years-old and younger can take part in the Easter egg hunt and enjoy a variety of games. Easter Buffet feasts will be served at the Garden Restaurant and the Moody Gardens Hotel on Easter Sunday.

Watershed Church EasterFest

Watershed Church {League City} | Saturday, April 15th, 10am – 1pm
Check out a giant age-divided egg hunt, and have fun with the petting zoo, inflatables, games, a child-friendly Easter story, prizes, crafts, snow cones, and face painting.

Special Needs Kids Easter Egg Hunt

Helen Hall Library {League City} | Saturday, April 15th, 3pm – 5pm
Eggs are filled with prizes {no candy due to food restrictions}, and groups of 25 children per half hour will be allowed in to “hunt” for Easter eggs. Check the link for additional details.

An Old-Fashioned Easter and Historic Lunch

George Ranch Historical Park {Richmond} | Saturday, April 15th, 9 am
Note: Old-fashioned egg hunts at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.
A fun-filled day with an Easter egg hunt, game of pocking eggs, Victorian egg decorating, and Victorian Easter brunch {reservations required}.

Sugar Land Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt

Eldridge Park {Sugar Land} | Saturday, April 8th, 12 – 3pm
Participate in the egg scramble {by age group}, Texas-sized foam pit, petting zoo, carnival games, hay bale maze, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Big Bunny Party

First Colony Church of Christ {Sugar Land} | Saturday, April 15th, 11am – 1pm
Special needs families can enter at 10am, and then the event opens to the public at 11am. Tickets are free online, but $5 at the event. There is a 15K egg drop, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, and food. 

 

Dress the kids in all things pastel, grab your baskets, and let’s get to hunting!
