Cute Animal
Before I became a mom almost a year ago, I loved making costumes for my pets! I made them primarily for my cat, but sometimes for my dog too. You can find the full instructions here, and you can even enlarge them to fit a child or adult!
What you’ll need ::
- Foam from your local craft store
- Super glue
- Rubber bands
- Scissors
- Appropriately colored clothing for your animal
Fancy Animal
What is the difference between a cute animal and a fancy animal? Makeup! Check out my fancy tutorial for leopard makeup … or get creative and try a similar technique for other creatures!
What you’ll need ::
- Makeup brushes
- Face paint or eyeshadow
- Bronzer / highlighter
- Eyeliner
- Fur coat / fuzzy scarf
- Gloves
- Boots
Don’t Forget the Dads!
What you’ll need ::
- Green socks
- Green leggings
- Orange rashguard
- Cardboard/Transparency
- X-Acto knife
- Trident
- Belt

This is actually a little more fun to make. Spray paint the trident and belt gold. Cut a scale pattern on the transparency/cardboard and place it over the orange rashguard, then spray the scale design on using gold as well. There it is! You have your Aquaman costume!
