Here’s Why You Should Ring in the New Year in the Hill Country for 2018…

We are excited to be partnering with Hyatt Regency Lost Pine Resort and Spa to bring you this sponsored post. If you’re looking for the perfect new year's getaway, you're going to love all that they have to offer!

I know! It’s only October, and we are just now feeling the cooling effects of fall, but my brain is already shifting gears to the upcoming holidays. How about you? Honestly, after everything that has been happening over the past few months, I am really looking forward to being with family this holiday season. And while I clearly love myself some H-Town, it sounds absolutely divine to hit the road and ring in the New Year somewhere peaceful, somewhere quiet, somewhere with picturesque views of the Texas Hill country…  Enter Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa. And wow, do they ever have a way to kiss 2017 goodbye and ring in 2018 with all sorts of bells and whistles with their New Year’s Eve Family Celebration Package. So who’s with me?!? Here are my top four reasons I’m heading west for NYE weekend

1} Convenience

Y’all. Lost Pines is just a little over 2 hours from the west side of Houston. I personally love the drive out there {hello, the BEST kolaches on the way at Hruskas in Ellinger, just saying!}. And in that short amount of time, I am completely transplanted from the busyness of the city life into the calmness of the country. How lucky are we that we can escape to a whole new world in the time it takes to drive across our great city?

2} Family Time

Lost Pines is all about family. Many of you have probably visited in the summer and taken advantage of all the great activities they have for young and old, whether it be the slides, lazy river, s’mores by the campfire, and more. And New Year’s weekend is no exception. As I get older, the days of me dressing up and hitting the town definitely are dwindling. I love time with my little fam bam and would much rather have quality time in a beautiful locale!

3} The Activities

They are pulling out all the stops this year with their holiday event activities. From carnival rides, live concerts, DJ family dance party, and hay rides, your family will experience memories to keep for a lifetime. And what New Year’s Eve celebration would be complete without fireworks? The Hyatt Lost Pines goes BIG on everything … and their fireworks spectacular is not to be missed! Make sure not to miss the face painting, cake walks, pie-eating contests, and balloon artists over the course of the weekend too!

4} The Food

I’m not going to lie. When it comes to family getaways, I thoroughly check out the food selections. Food equals celebration, am I right? With multiple restaurants on the property, Lost Pines has something for everyone. This particular New Year’s weekend will include a smashing dinner buffet on NYE for up to two adults and two kiddo, plus a breakfast buffet on Monday morning in the ballroom. And y’all. Their buffets are absolutely stunning. Carving stations, omelets made to order, and fresh fruits and veggies. If you go away hungry after this weekend, it’s your own fault! {Psssttt… don’t forget those s’mores that I mentioned earlier. Your kids will have a blast gathering around the campfire with their very own creation.}

Sounds amazing, right?!? Honestly, this just sounds like a much deserved treat after all that our great city has and continues to endure. Leave behind your worries, enjoy a spectacular view, refreshing country air, and top notch entertainment… Ahhh. I’m totally down and can’t wait to celebrate the New Year {2018!} with my family. Oh, and I may make time to sneak off to Spa Django too. Because momma needs a little pampering.
