Making Your Marriage a Priority After Kids :: Vlog Edition

Marriage Vlog

We are going to mix things up a little today, Houston mamas. Not only does today’s post include my handsome hubby, but it is also not a post to read…instead you get to watch! That’s right, I somehow twisted the husband’s arm and got him to do a VLOG with me.

Before we get to the awkward video at hand, a little side note to please keep in mind…

WE ARE NOT EXPERTS ON MARRIAGE. And we do not claim to be.

We are, however, EXPERIENCED.

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, Will and I did not make our marriage a priority. We put ourselves, work, kids, school, and anything else you could think of first. And our marriage quickly started to head down a dark road. Thankfully, we sought the help we needed and made some life changes that completely transformed our marriage and the way we communicate and interact with one another. Now, not only are we passionate about each other – but also about sharing our story and hopefully helping and inspiring other couples along the way.

So we may have been a little nervous and awkward, but hopefully the tips we shared make up for that.

With the weekend upon us, try to take some time out for just you and your spouse.  Make them a priority.  They may need it more than you even know.

And because we always want to learn more {remember…knowledge is power??}, what are some of the ways you make your marriage a priority?

  1. I absolutely love this post! I am so proud of your guys and how you are using YOUR story. God has great things planned for your family and I cannot wait to watch it unfold.

  2. Pause…y’all are the cutest. Also…I vote this to be an HMB series. Like, discuss each of the top 10 in a little more detail on a different day. Riiight?!?!? I loved it.

  3. You two are just so precious!! The high five was the best part!! Can we also give a high five to the head on the wall?? HAHA. Great advice and great vlog. I really liked the make your needs known part. Sometimes you think your partner should just KNOW what you want, but they don’t! You have to tell them! 🙂

  4. I love y’all’s vlog! And I especially love the top awkward picture. It is so cute and funny. I like the tip about making note each week about what you have done for your marriage. I need to put more effort into doing things for our marriage each week.

  5. I love this. It’s basic and not hard to implement and as a person who is about to get married this makes it seem like there are people who get married and stay that way. And are proud to talk about it!!!
