Attention Houston moms…I have found a gem of a restaurant right here in our own backyard that offers delicious homestyle food at incredibly affordable prices. They are perfect for those evenings you do not want to cook, those afternoons when you want to grab a quick bite for lunch, and those mornings that you just need something yummy to get your day off to the perfect start!
PaPa Mo’s Deli is centrally located right off of I-10 on TC Jester. And not only are they a family owned and family run business, but you will feel like family the moment you walk in the door too. Their warm welcome begins as soon as you set foot in the New York style deli and continues through your last bite of mouth-watering food.
Mo and Joan, the mom and pop behind this jewel, are New York transplants with over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry. They have mastered the art of phenomenal food, perfect portioning, and customer service that will keep you coming back for more. And now that they are here in Houston, they have combined their famous New York traditions with the Texas style of life that we all know and love. They are already passionate about the new community they are planting their roots in, and they have created a community board for you to post about upcoming events or share a business card…which I think is great!
According to Joan, there is nothing too big or too small for them to prepare. They take pride in every item on their menu and guarantee fresh homestyle food with every bite. Trust me when I tell you, it is amazing! My favorites – their Reuben sandwich and PaPa Mo’s Special {hot roast beef, crispy bacon, and melted mozzarella cheese served on toasted garlic bread…YUM!}. But honestly, everything on their menu is incredible! And I love that you can run in and grab a pound of their chicken or tuna salad or set up catering for your next big event too. Perfect for those holiday parties coming up or tailgating on a Sunday! Oh, and guess what…they have a coupon on their website for a free side item with purchase of a sandwich too. {Because we ALL love a good coupon!!}
The experience is great. The food is outstanding. But my favorite thing about PaPa Mo’s is that it is so very family friendly! Last time I was in, Mo and Joan’s adorable grandson was there, and it was such a great testament to the overall atmosphere and also to the reason why these two have moved down to Houston and are working so hard too.
So it is probably pretty obvious that I think this deli is great, and I am excited that other local sources think so too…
Great article….You made it sound mighty tasty….now I have to check it out. 🙂
