Touchdown Tour

The Touchdown Tour is Houston’s traveling Super Bowl experience that has made stops all over the Houston area. The events wrap up on January 14th, so it’s your last opportunity to check out the games, exhibits, appearances, food, and fun.

Super Bowl LIVE

Dates :: January 27 – February 5
Location :: Discovery Green {1500 McKinney Street, Houston, TX}
Cost :: Free

Super Bowl LIVE is a free 10-day festival with music, food, games, and attractions all leading up to the big day. The Super Bowl Host Committee has been having auditions for local performers to feature on a “pop up” stage near the main stage at Discovery Green. Houston-based performers will include The Tontons, Los Skarnales, Nick Gaitan, Fat Tony, and many more.

Main stage headliners include ::

  • Thursday, February 2 – Solange, Robert Glasper, Lizzo
  • Friday, February 3 – Robert Ellis, Shakey Graves, Leon Bridges
  • Saturday, February 4 – ZZ TOP, Gary Clark Jr., The Suffers

Football Family Movie Night at The Square

Location :: The Square at Memorial City
Cost :: Free

Get your head in the game with a special screening of “Rudy” on The Square’s 24’ X 14’ HD big screen TV. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs, and enjoy complimentary popcorn while you watch!

NFL Experience

Dates :: January 28 – February 5
Location :: George R. Brown Convention Center {1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX}
Cost :: $35 for adults, $25 for kids 12 and under

The NFL Experience is family-friendly and offers fans the opportunity to experience all the Super Bowl LI fun! There are interactive games, autograph sessions, football clinics, virtual reality technology, and more! You can also buy an NFL Xtra Fast Pass for $55.

NFL Opening Night Celebration *SOLD OUT*

Date :: January 30
Location :: Minute Maid Park {501 Crawford Street, Houston, TX}
Cost :: $20 and up

The Opening Night Celebration allows fans to sit in the stadium stands and watch along as members of the media interview Super Bowl players. But wait, there’s more… The event will also feature live musical performances, appearances and autographs by NFL Legends, cheerleaders and team mascots, and a Red Carpet photo opp.

Draft Night

Date :: February 2nd
Location :: The Square at Memorial City
Cost :: Free

Countdown to the Big Game with an evening of live music performed by The Slags and giant yard games. Draft Night will also feature a variety of bar bites and draft beer by 8th Wonder Brewery – yes, please!

Texans House by NFL on Location

Dates :: February 2 – February 4
Location :: The Grove @ Discovery Green {1500 McKinney Street, Houston, TX}

Texans House will transform The Grove into a uniquely “Texan” hospitality venue for fans, partners, and guests to gather! There will be daily interactive opportunities including: cigar rollers, DJs, live bands, food and autograph sessions with former and current NFL players, cheerleaders, and special guests.

Chili Bowl Katy

Date :: Saturday, February 4
Location :: Rhodes Stadium, Katy, TX {1743 Katy Fort Bend Road, Katy, TX}
Cost :: Chili Bowl – FREE // Flag Football Game – $20 per person // After Party – $15 per person {21 & up only}

The City of Katy has lots of fun plans to celebrate the Big Game! Here’s a run-down of the day…

  • 9am – 12pm :: Taste of Katy Chili Bowl with an amateur chili cook-off, live music, celebrity appearances, vendors, food truks, silent auction, activities for the kiddos, and more!
  • 12 – 3pm :: Pregame activities for the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge starts at 12pm, with the celebrity filled game slated for 1 – 3pm.
  • 4 – 8pm :: Head over to No Label Brewery for the After Party.  Your ticket includes 3 beers and 1 pint glass.  Plus, they’ll have a DJ and food trucks too!

Super Saturday

Date :: February 4th
Location :: The Square at Memorial City
Cost :: Free

Dust off your training shoes and get ready for the ultimate football experience, including a Little Rookies Training Camp and End Zone Celebration Dance Off. Attendees can also enjoy a live interview and autograph signing with Former Houston Oiler, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson!

So, exactly how much time is left before the big game begins? You can document it to the second with one of the huge Super Bowl Countdown Clocks set up around Houston. Grab your camera and get ready to take a fun selfie! Clock locations include Discovery Green, NRG Stadium, Bush Intercontinental Airport, and Hobby Airport. The 15-foot Countdown Clock at Discovery Green is probably the most popular!
