A Valentine’s Day Countdown Calendar

I know, I know…it is a little early for Valentine’s, but I just love this holiday so much that I figured I would start my decorating a little early! So instead of only celebrating this day of love on February 14th, we are going to spread our love over a few weeks by using our Valentine’s Day Countdown Calendar!

Valentine's Day Countdown Calendar

How-to make this super fun Valentine’s Day Countdown Calendar ::

Gather the following materials at any local craft store…

  • 14 miniature paper bags
  • 14 die cut shapes
  • Baker’s twine
  • 14 miniature clothespins
  • Sharpie
  • Glue stick
  • 14 fun activities, crafts, special treats, love letters, and more  {see below for more info!}

And making your calendar could not be easier! Just glue a die cut shape to each paper bag, number your bags from 1-14, hang your bags in numerical order, and you are ready to go!

Some of the surprises we have planned for our countdown ::

  1. Bake a Valentine treat with Mom
  2. Stay up 15 minutes AFTER bedtime
  3. Pick a movie for Family Night
  4. Choose what we have for dinner
  5. Mail a special Valentine to the grandparents
  6. Make a fun Valentine Craft
  7. Eat lunch with Mom at school
  8. Enjoy your favorite candy
  9. Have an extra book at bedtime
  10. Make your Valentine’s for school together
  11. Make homemade cookies
  12. Have a special breakfast surprise
  13. Take Valentine’s treats to Dad at work
  14. Get extra hugs and kisses all day long!

I just love having another excuse to love on and remind my family how special they really are. And…I also love any excuse to create a cute little decoration!

Happy Valentine’s Day…

share it with those who make your world turn round!
