Meagan, Co-Owner

Meagan is a Dallas native who has lived in the Katy area for over a decade. She kicked a soccer ball all the way to Louisiana to attend college at her family’s alma mater of LSU, where she promptly fell in love with a Texas Aggie in Baton Rouge for an internship. After swimming back to Texas following Hurricane Katrina, Matt and Meagan fell in love with the Houston area and now couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Following several years of infertility, their miracle twins Ryan and Quinn were born in June of 2010. She believes there is nothing better than a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio, a large Sonic Diet Coke, sushi take-out, Girls Nights Out, and a mindless book to curl up with. Keep up with Meagan at Instagram @meaganclanahan. To contact Meagan, email her at [email protected]houstonmomsblog.com.

Elizabeth, Managing Editor

Elizabeth was raised in Houston and met her husband Ryan shortly after graduating from Texas A&M with a journalism degree. She taught elementary and junior high school for seven years before realizing her lifelong dream of becoming a stay-at-home mom. Grayson {Sept 2010} turned Elizabeth’s world upside down, not only with his sparkling blue eyes and killer smile, but with his life-limiting diagnosis of Leigh Syndrome, a rare Mitochondrial disorder. After two years of navigating the world of special needs parenting, Elizabeth and Ryan were blessed with Charlotte {Jan 2013} and Nolan {Sept 2015}, perfectly completing their party of five. Elizabeth and her crew live in Katy, and when she can steal a few moments for herself, she can be found out for Mexican food and margaritas with girlfriends, binge-listening to podcasts, or trying once again {unsuccessfully} to organize her closet. She saves thousands a year on therapy by pouring her heart out on her blog A New Version of Me.  To learn more and inquire about submitting a guest blog post, please CLICK HERE.

Brittney, Sales Associate

Originally from Louisiana, Brittney has called Houston home for nearly all her life. Brittney graduated from Houston Baptist University where she was a member of Phi Mu and a four-year cheerleader. It didn’t take long after graduation for her to meet her husband Jeremy on the sand volleyball courts at Memorial Park. She jokes that when marrying Jeremy, she also married LSU because she tied the knot with the most passionate Tiger football fan. Many weekends in the fall, they can be found in the shadows of Tiger Stadium at their big family tailgating party. Brittney and Jeremy have two boys, Connor {Nov 2012} and Parker {Nov 2014}. Brittney is a big baby making, food allergy fighting, NICU surviving mom. Though she grew up surrounded by hairbows, pom poms, and lots of pink, she is now learning to embrace the choo-choos and soccer balls that come with being a mom of two boys. Brittney works full-time in education, and in her free time she enjoys working on projects in her craft room, getting lost in a good book, and binge watching Netflix. To learn more and inquire about our advertising and sponsorship opportunities, please CLICK HERE.

Jennifer, Project Coordinator

Jennifer is a native outside-the-loop’er growing up and living in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. She has a Bachelors in theology and political science from Texas Lutheran University and a Masters in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. She and her husband Greg met in 2010 through Match.com and fell in love on their first date. They married exactly one year later and have fought lovingly and constantly since. They have two amazingly brilliant girls, Kaitlyn {June 2013} and Elizabeth {June 2015} who Jen stays home with during the day. When Jen is not curled in a little ball rocking back and forth with Peppa Pig on in the background, she can be found crafting with her Silhouette and/or binge watching The Office for the millionth time. Jen has an uncanny ability to be comfortable in almost any situation put in front of her, thanks to growing up in politics and on the debate team. Before having kids of her own, she had the opportunity to help other kids through teaching, youth ministry, and generally being a helpful, kind soul. You can check out more about Jen on IG @jennifermhester. To contact Jennifer about HMB, email her at admi[email protected]

Ann, Graphic Designer

Ann grew up in central Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State, where she met and later married her husband, Cory. They moved to Houston in 2007 and she started working in the nonprofit sector handling communications and marketing. She’s mom to two boys, Jack {June 2104} and Colin {September 2016} and had every intention of being a working mom, but several months after their first was born her husband’s job led them to Calgary, Alberta Canada. After moving back to the area in September 2017, they gave up their previous inner loop status for suburban roots and are living in Spring. In her free time, Ann loves starting projects she never seems to finish, reading a good book and binge watching something other than Thomas and Friends or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Kelly, Founder

Kelly is the founder of Houston Moms Blog.  She has a degree in education from Texas State University and was honored to teach special education for eight years to some of the cutest little kiddos you could ever meet.  While teaching, Kelly met Cody – a tall drink of water and country boy to the core – and together, they fell in love, got married, and decided to start a family.  In March 2011, they welcomed Hayes into the world, a silly but smart little boy with a story you have to read to believe.  {Curious?  You can read it here.}  And in April 2013, their family was complete with the addition of Hadley, a super gregarious and oh-so-cute little girl.  Now, Kelly devotes her days to simultaneously caring for her own little ones and working from home as a National Sales Manager for City Moms Blog Network, Houston Moms Blog’s parent site.  In her not-so-spare time, Kelly loves meeting up with her girlfriends for a glass of wine, failing miserably at Pinterest projects, and exploring her new home in the Texas Hill Country.
