Our Executive Team

Meagan, Co-Owner

Meagan is a Dallas native who has lived in the Katy area for almost a decade. She kicked a soccer ball all the way to Louisiana to attend college at her family’s alma mater of LSU, where she promptly fell in love with a Texas Aggie in Baton Rouge for an internship. After swimming back to Texas following Hurricane Katrina, Matt and Meagan fell in love with the Houston area and now couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Following several years of infertility, their miracle twins Ryan and Quinn were born in June of 2010. She believes there is nothing better than a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio, a large Sonic Diet Coke, sushi take-out, Girls Nights Out, and a mindless book to curl up with. Besides playing chauffeur and catering to the whims of her children, Meagan also works part-time as the Communications Director for a non-profit and does a bit of freelance writing with her “free” time. You can keep up with Meagan at The Clanahan Fam and on Instagram @meaganclanahan! To contact Meagan, email her at meagan {at} houstonmomsblog {dot} com.

Tiffanie, Sponsorship Coordinator

Tiffanie, originally from East Texas, has called Houston home for 10 years now.  She and her husband met during undergraduate studies at Stephen F. Austin State University.  They have one son, Preston {Jan 2011}, who was born with a very rare congenital heart condition and underwent a very successful open heart surgery at Houston’s own Texas Children’s Hospital when he was just two days old.  {Read all about his amazing story here.}  In October 2013, Tiffanie welcomed a daughter, Hadley, into this world. She adores seeing life and this great city through the eyes of her children. She is a practicing physician assistant, passionate about Endocrinology and diabetes. Committed to connecting moms and families to all the fabulousness of this great city, Tiffanie started serving as our Sponsorship Coordinator in January 2014. Her days are now filled to the brim with taking care of her family, her patients, fielding sales calls, and scheduling sponsored posts. Her favorite pastimes include drinking a full-bodied glass of red, retail therapy, a nice long run, and being near a beach – water soothes her.  To learn more and inquire about our advertising and sponsorship opportunities, please CLICK HERE.

Chelsea, Resource Coordinator

Chelsea is a native Houstonian now residing in Sugar Land.  She is married to Jason who she met at the Houston Rodeo of all places!  Together they have two boys, Jack {May 2013} and Colin {October 2015} along with their puppy brother, a Chihuahua named Tucker.  Chelsea spends Monday through Friday working full-time in the healthcare industry in marketing and business development in order to keep up with her online shopping and Starbucks addiction.  She can win any pop-culture game you throw her way, enjoys long strolls through Target and Sephora, and believes that anything can and should be monogrammed.  You can follow Chelsea’s daily adventures over at The Perfect Catch Blog or on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest as @ChelseaPurifoy.  To learn more and inquire about our advertising and sponsorship opportunities, please CLICK HERE.

Elizabeth, Managing Editor

Elizabeth was raised in Houston and met her husband Ryan shortly after graduating from Texas A&M with a journalism degree. She taught elementary and junior high school for seven years before realizing her lifelong dream of becoming a stay-at-home mom. Grayson {Sept 2010} turned Elizabeth’s world upside down, not only with his sparkling blue eyes and killer smile, but with his life-limiting diagnosis of Leigh Syndrome, a rare Mitochondrial disorder. After two years of navigating the world of special needs parenting, Elizabeth and Ryan were blessed with Charlotte {Jan 2013} and Nolan {Sept 2015}, perfectly completing their party of five. Elizabeth and her crew live in Katy, and when she can steal a few moments for herself, she can be found out for Mexican food and margaritas with girlfriends, binge-listening to podcasts, or trying once again {unsuccessfully} to organize her closet. She saves thousands a year on therapy by pouring her heart out on her blog A New Version of Me.  To learn more and inquire about submitting a guest blog post, please CLICK HERE.

Hilary - Square 2016

Hilary, Social Media Coordinator

Hilary was born in Bryan / College Station to a Texas A&M family, but moved to Houston with her family when she was just a toddler. She grew up in various areas around Houston before attending The University of Houston where she was a proud Cougar cheerleader. {However, she swears she bleeds maroon!} She got married at a young age and had two beautiful boys, Bryce {May 2009} and Brayden {July 2007}. Although her marriage ended after only 4 years, Hilary and her ex-husband co-parent beautifully. As a single mom, Hilary worked long days in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and boot camp business owner. So it’s no surprise that she met her now husband Cody at a local fitness competition. They got married in 2014 and balanced out their home by bringing little charismatic Zoë into the world in March 2016 – just before moving to Fulshear where they have planted their roots. Now, you can usually find Hilary screaming on the sidelines at her sons’ football games or researching marketing tips. {She claims to have missed her calling in marketing, but here she is now!} She also loves coffee, wine, and family movie nights.  To connect with Houston Moms Blog on social media, please follow us {@HoustonMomsBlog} on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Kelly, Founder

Kelly is the founder of Houston Moms Blog.  She has a degree in education from Texas State University and was honored to teach special education for eight years to some of the cutest little kiddos you could ever meet.  While teaching, Kelly met Cody – a tall drink of water and country boy to the core – and together, they fell in love, got married, and decided to start a family.  In March 2011, they welcomed Hayes into the world, a silly but smart little boy with a story you have to read to believe.  {Curious?  You can read it here.}  And in April 2013, their family was complete with the addition of Hadley, a super gregarious and oh-so-cute little girl.  Now, Kelly devotes her days to simultaneously caring for her own little ones and working from home as a National Sales Manager for City Moms Blog Network, Houston Moms Blog’s parent site.  In her not-so-spare time, Kelly loves meeting up with her girlfriends for a glass of wine, failing miserably at Pinterest projects, and exploring her new home in the Texas Hill Country.
