Date Night Noshing

A friend told me about Murray’s Cheese a few months ago, I went and browsed but I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger. I finally did a few weeks ago and y’all! The entire experience is *all the praise hands*. On their website, you can pick individual cheese or you can pick curated charcuterie boards based on occasion, moods, and likes. We love bourbon in my house and they had a board that paired well with bourbon. It was the perfect Netflix and chill as my husband made old fashioneds for us to enjoy with it!

Indulging

I don’t know about the rest of you, but since quarantine, I’ve really upped my skincare game. I’m not wearing makeup very often these days but when I do, I really work to clean my face entirely of it at the end of the night. I’ve tried disposable clothes, the magic eraser cloth, face wash, butters, and my latest favorite is this Drunk Elephant E-Rase Milki Micellar Water, specifically for my eye makeup because that’s always the hardest for me to get off. This remover is gentle and removes even the most stubborn waterproof mascara!

Burning

Give me all the candles! I’m always burning some scent in my house and I recently discovered Elevated Scentz, a local, Black woman owned business.  I ordered the “Black” scented candle and spray for my guest bathroom. The smell is DIVINE! I like earthy, almost masculine scents for my house and this fits that bill perfectly.

Wearing

I’ve been a fan of Lululemon since graduate school so I’ve tried out quite a few of their pants. The Fast and Free crops have been my favorite for the last few years and I currently have several colors on rotation! They are comfortable enough to wear around the house and suck me in and all the right places, AND they’re the perfect material for all of my spin workouts and runs.

Listening

I love learning about current events and what’s going on around the world but a lot of times, I watch the news and feel like I’m missing details and history of different events and topics. A friend told me about this podcast, The Daily, recently and I have been hooked ever since. I love how it’s only 30 minutes so I can listen to it on the way to dropping off my kids but they really go into detail about whatever the topic of the day is for that day.
