Top BYOB Restaurants in Houston

Top BYOB Restaurants in HoustonI love nothing more than a relaxing date night with my hubby. Maybe sitting outside, ordering drinks, and enjoying a nice dinner without the kids.  One of our favorite things to do is hit up area restaurants that allow you to “BYOB”…bring your own beverages {usually wine or beer}. Yep, you might not know it, but some places allow you to bring your own drinks and enjoy it with your dinner. Usually, these restaurants don’t have a liquor license. Either way, you are saving a good amount of money from your bill because as you know, restaurants usually mark up the cost of wine BIG TIME when you buy it off the menu. {Example, our favorite wine is $12 in the store and $45 on the menu in one particular restaurant we frequent.} So, we here at Houston Moms Blog want to help a momma out! We’ve come up with a list of places where you can bring in your own drinks – sorted by area! Each restaurant has a different policy when it comes to alcohol, so make sure to call ahead. For instance, it is common to pay a “corking fee” when you bring in your own wine. {Anywhere from $1 to $10.} Also, we should note, restaurants often change their policies on this BYOB perk, so double check for that too! Here is our list of top BYOB restaurants in Houston and surrounding areas…

  1. Jonathan’s The Rub in Hedwig Village is another great BYOB place for a date night. It’s super popular, so sometimes there’s a wait on Friday and Saturday nights, but totally worth it!

  2. George’s Pastaria on Dairy Ashford. BYOB $10. Free on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday AND they have a well priced and diverse wine list. They have been open 28 years!!
