Hurricane Harvey Stories:: A Call for Submissions

Almost a year ago, Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on our city, our communities and our homes. Life as we knew it was, at least for a time, over.

For those whose homes flooded, it has been a year of grief, of rebuilding, and of healing. Many lost all their material possessions, and the past year has required grit, determination, and the kindness of strangers.

Houstonians rallied, embracing their neighbors and providing in their greatest time of need. Donations poured in, and people gave their time and energy to muck houses, clean up streets and feed and care for volunteers as well as those who were displaced.

Here at Houston Moms Blog, we’ve devoted a lot of words to the stories of Hurricane Harvey, and to mark the first anniversary of the storm, we want to hear yours.
