I am writing this on March 23, 2020, which marks the 21st day that I have been out of school. And let’s just say that things escalated very quickly. COVID-19 canceled school. This has given me time to catch up on much needed sleep. However, I have had to pick up slack around the house which is more than I bargained for.
The concept of time has felt very off during these days. We seem to be stay up late but we are still up very early in the morning.
I’m not too happy about missing school because I can’t see my friends and I don’t want to fall behind in my classes that earn high school credits. I’m looking forward to online learning starting this week.
My friends and I still communicate via text, social media and FaceTime. We talk about how different life is right now.
This morning, I tried preparing breakfast because it is something I have time for now. I enjoyed it, but a certain person named Joi wasn’t very keen on it. It’s okay though.
Now I spend my days keeping a low profile. It helps me to avoid as much work as possible.
This is life for now.
Beautifully written! A certain person named Joi should be proud!
A certain person named Joi – is proud indeed. <3
