Isn’t National Donut Day just the best way to celebrate the start of Summer Vacation? Let’s fill the kids with sugar! But seriously, I love any reason to throw a themed party and National Donut Day is one of those reasons! Here are the four ways we celebrate National Donut Day this Friday, June 7!
1. Grab Donuts from Your Favorite Shop
There are many, many options for amazing donuts in and around Houston. Our favorite place in Northwest Houston is Karma Kolache on N. Eldridge. Karma Kolache is known for their delicious kolaches filled with things like macaroni and cheese, but we love their cronuts.
2. Read a Donut Themed Book
We love to break our favorite donut books like If You Give a Dog a Donut, Doughnuts for a Dragon and Please, Mr. Panda. Reading about donuts is a great way to earn some Summer Reading Minutes.
3. Get Crafty with Some Donut Toys
My girls love Play-Doh especially when they get to make fun food {fake food of course}. This Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Delightful Donut set kept them busy for hours as they created all kinds of cute donuts.
4. Throw a Donut Party
We love a party and throwing a Donut Party is always a fun way to celebrate the end of the school year as well as National Donut Day! This would be a great opportunity to invite over some school friends and raise a donut to all this year’s accomplishments.
So, tell me how are you celebrating National Donut Day?
