Getting rid of germs on the go! {+ Giveaway}

I’ve referred to my kids as “walking viruses” too many times to count this year. There was at least one person sick in our home most every week between October and March. I absolutely loathed this winter and all the germs it brought with it…so imagine my excitement to hear that our sponsor Verilux created a safe and effective little wand that is proven to kill 99% of germs and allergens! Umm – yes, please!

For starters, I love the convenience. It’s easy to use around the house — where my kids eat, where they sleep, and/or on our food prep areas — but it’s also small enough to throw in my purse, a diaper bag, or in the stroller as we head to the playground or wherever we might be heading.

So how does it work?  These products kill germs and reduce allergens by using UV-C light. UV-C sanitizing dates back many, many moons ago when it was used to treat deadly diseases and is still readily used in hospitals and other sterile work environments for sanitizing. Anyone else absolutely grossed out by shopping carts? Well, guess what… Some stores are starting to use UV-C light to treat carts now. Hallelejuah!

Verilux wants one reader to experience light therapy for themselves so they are providing one lucky winner with one of these sanitizing wands. Enter below and good luck!

{Pssst…we are trying a new giveaway app for this one, and word on the street is – it’s fantastic!  Let us know what you think too!!}

  1. I would start with doorknobs, phones, tablets and other things we use daily. Then I would start in one corner and methodically sanitize pretty much everything! 🙂
