Please Note :: We want to give a great, BIG thank you to each and every sponsor who made our first birthday such a tremendous success – Sky High Sports, The Little Gym, Baby Boot Camp, Paint My Face, Massage Heights Town & Country, Stafford Events, The Little Crane Smocked Shoppe, Reginelli’s, Mister French’s, and Cakes by Gina. And of course, to our sweet friend Momma’s Gonna SNAP for the beautiful images seen below that will surely last a lifetime!
We here at Houston Moms Blog are so sad that our 1st Birthday Bash is over, but we had the best time celebrating with all of you! Everything was perfect, and to see all these sweet, young faces smiling, giggling, and enjoying themselves immensely was just icing on the cake.
Huge shout out to Sky High Sports for exclusively giving us hours and hours of fun! Their staff was so attentive to the kids, and safety was the top concern which was nice as it gave us parents a chance to relax and visit with each other. However, the Sky High Sports staff members were also making sure the kiddos were having fun and adding to the good times when needed too. I might have taken a little face-plant on one trampoline {hey, it’s probably been 20 years seen my feet have seen a trampoline!}, but it was SOOO fun! I can’t wait to go back myself!
As if that’s not enough fun, we had a number of other sponsors there all of who provided fun activites for both the kiddos AND the parents too. The Little Gym hosted a sweet little toddler area for the itty-bitty ones. Though, they had a number of activities lined up, I think they spent most of the time just catering to the wobbly-walkers and laughing and helping as these toddlers discovered new skills. Baby Boot Camp was right next to them with a fun little craft station for the kiddos as well. And when the moms and dads needed a quick break, Massage Heights Town & Country was there providing complimentary chair massages. I’m still kicking myself for not getting one that afternoon, so please don’t rub it in if you were able to snag one!
The Little Crane Smocked Shoppe was there with an ice cream sundae station and all of their adorable attire and accessories to keep our kids looking great! Mister French’s Gourmet Bakery was next to them with a cookie decorating station and the most adorable cookies I’ve ever seen. {Seriously, if you’re on the hunt for Elsa and Anna cookies – or any other theme – then you need to call them!} Finally, Paint My Face was there and busy all day long painting those sweet little faces and making tons of balloon art!
Cakes by Gina brought one of her gorgeous tiered cakes and served these phenomenal cake balls and cupcakes. Oh, what I would give to have one of those delicious cake balls right now! All that sweet dessert followed a delicious salad and pizza from Reginelli’s. Our friends over at New Orleans Moms Blog introduced us to Reginelli’s a while back, and we’re so glad they did. They have two new locations in the Houston area, and I promise we’ll be regular customers! We washed it all down with yummy drinks from the beverage station provided by Stafford Events that was such a hit too.
In the middle of it all, Amanda with Momma’s Gonna SNAP was sneaking around taking these great photos from our event. Aren’t they amazing?!? {Pssst…be sure to ‘like’ her Facebook page so you can see all of the gorgeous photos she has been busy taking in preparation for the upcoming holidays too!} And since we got LOTS of inquiries about our beloved ‘We {Heart} Houston’ shirts, we just have to let you in on our little secret – LaLee Blue! She’s got kids t-shirts, and adult t-shirts, and stickers, oh my!
We’re so fortunate to live in this great city and have all the resources that make for a great party right here in our own backyard. Whether you’re throwing a kids’ birthday party, a wedding shower, or just want to have a fun girls’ night in, we can assure you that these businesses can and will provide just what you are looking for.
And now that we’ve made you crave pizza and cake balls, let’s talk about all the fabulous swag and giveaways…
A number of moms and dads left as winners and took home some amazing giveaways that included a gift basket and family membership from The Houston Zoo, a $50 gift certificate to Massage Heights, a gift basket from Silikids, a $250 gift certificate to Deer Lake Lodge, a gift basket from Bakery on Main, an $80 voucher to Amazing Lash Studio, a $55 gift certificate to Blessington Farms, a two night staycation from The Victorian Condo-Hotel in Galveston, a mini facial from Dr. Shel, 12 complimentary tickets to Children’s Museum of Houston, and $200 worth of gift certificates from pediped!
Each kiddo also took home their own swag bag filled with some fabulous items that included goodies from Pretzel Crisps, Kleenhanz, KIND Snacks, Bitsy’s Brainfood, Brownie Brittle, Bakery on Main, Peter Rabbit Organics, and Boogie Wipes!
Now all that was a ton of fun, but one of the best things about this entire event was all the generous donations that attendees brought for our charity of choice, Lunches of Love. We love what LOL is doing within our city to help end childhood hunger by providing free, nutritious sack lunches to designated parts of Houston. We were blown away by the generosity of those who brought donation items, and we know that LOL is greatly appreciative.
And guess what WE appreciate? YOU!!! Thank you so much for reading, partying, and following along with us this past year. We may be partial, but we think we have the best mamas in the world, and we are so looking forward to all that this coming year holds!
